Chapter 1538 Turning Point
Sadie froze for a moment, then urgently told Annika, "Go check the restaurant and see if that supply clerk's still there."
"What?" Annika looked puzzled. "The supply clerk?"
"Just go," Sadie insisted, her voice tense.
"Got it." Annika hurried off.
Sadie's grip tightened around her teacup. As she recalled Jessica and Aurora's words, she suddenly realized that the supply clerk's appearance and temperament were somewhat similar to Riley.
She had always suspected that someone might have taken Micah away the day of the fire; otherwise, they would have found some trace of him.
She had even dreamed that if Riley had taken Micah, then maybe he was still alive.
And now, she felt like her dream might actually be coming true!
Thinking about this, Sadie got really excited. If Micah was alive, everything she had gone through would be worth it.
"Ms. James, the car's ready. I'm heading out now."
Annika had changed clothes and was ready to leave.
"Hold on," Sadie called her back. "Take Jessica and Aurora with you. They've seen the supply clerk. If you can't find him, talk to the restaurant owner and staff to get more info."
"Got it." Annika nodded. "But you're heading to the office soon. What if I'm not back in time?"
"If you can't make it back, have Arya go with me," Sadie instructed. "Now hurry up and get going."
"Yes. Ms. James."
As soon as Annika left, Arya came in to report, "Mr. Clemens finished his morning treatment. He's in his room, throwing a fit and refusing to go to the office."noveldrama
"Tell him if he doesn't go to the office, he'll have to go to the hospital for a full check- up. It's been two days of treatment here; it's time to see how effective it is."
Sadie had become quite skilled at handling this fake "Micah."

"Yes, Ms. James." Arya went to relay the message.
Sure enough, soon after, the "Micah" complied, his lips twitching as he tearfully said, "I think I can manage. The company's matters are more important."
"That's the spirit," Arya said with a cheerful smile. "Take a rest and get ready. We'll leave at nine."
"Micah" nodded reluctantly, his eyes filled with resentment.
Arya returned to report to Sadie with a grin.
"Alright, go get ready," Sadie said calmly, continuing her breakfast.
"Yes, Ms. James."
It was only seven in the morning, but Hillside Villa was already bustling.
"Micah" had been up since five for his treatment.
Sadie had also risen early to handle paperwork and was now having breakfast downstairs. She glanced at the news on her tablet and various emails, her brow furrowing.
In the past few days, the mastermind behind the scenes had tried to act through the hospital and create scandals between Sadie and Masson, but all attempts had failed. Today, they would surely make a move, planning their actions in advance.
With the enemy hidden in the shadows, Sadie had no way of knowing their plans and could only go with the flow.
She had been somewhat worried, but the potential news about Micah filled her with confidence. Suddenly, no challenge seemed too daunting.
Just then, Annika called to report, "Ms. James, as Arya mentioned, everyone at the restaurant has left, and the supply clerk is gone too. I contacted the restaurant owner. He said the supply clerk is a dangerous person, and they fled overnight out of fear. No one dared to call the police."
"Go find the restaurant owner in person and get the full story," Sadie instructed urgently. "Also, check the supply clerk's residence for any clues."
"Yes, Ms. James. I'm on it."
