Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1549

"Are you serious? Get over here and give me a hand!" Patricia shouted across the dorm room at another girl. "If you don't hurry, my hand's gonna fall off!"

"Fiona, maybe just let it slide this time. She hasn't really done anything to you. Please, be the bigger person and don't hold it against us, okay?" the other girl said, her voice trembling a bit.

Fiona raised an eyebrow and let go, not because she was scared, but because making enemies wasn't worth it. She was here to fly under the radar. Besides, getting caught up with a fool wasn't on her agenda.

Soon enough, lights-out came. As Fiona lay in bed, Tyler, who'd been quiet all this time, suddenly sent her a link with a message urging her to check it out.

Fiona frowned, puzzled, but clicked the link anyway. It took her to the campus website app, where a hot new post was waiting.

The more Fiona read, the more Patricia's earlier comments seemed fishy. It looked like Patricia really had some dirt on her.

The post painted her as vain and claimed she used her body as a bargaining chip to stay close to Jackson. It even hinted that Fiona was the reason Allen got signed with Woods Corporation, thanks to Jackson's sway.

It went on about her leveraging Jackson's status to get special treatment from Allen, like snagging VIP concert tickets she supposedly couldn't get otherwise.noveldrama

There were even several photos attached.

Fiona scoffed, scrolling to the bottom, where she found a semi-nude photo supposedly of herself. But the person in the picture wasn't her; someone had doctored her photo to create a fake.

She pulled back the curtain around her bed and marched over to Patricia, who was giggling with her back turned.

Fiona kicked the bed, her face impassive, and said, "Delete the post."

"What post?" Patricia asked, sounding a bit guilty, as she quickly locked her phone and hid it under the covers. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"If you don't want a trip to the infirmary tonight, delete the post," Fiona said coldly, her voice chilling Patricia to the bone. She added, "Stop pretending."

"I already told you, I don't know about any post." Patricia turned over, scooting further into her bed, her eyes darting nervously as she feigned innocence. "I didn't post anything on the campus site, and even if I did, I don't have the clout to make the admin listen to me."

Fiona pondered for a moment, then said icily, "Hand over your phone."

Reluctantly, Patricia handed her phone to Fiona, fearing a confrontation.

"Here!"

Fiona scrolled through it but found nothing useful, so she returned it to Patricia. Back in bed, she forwarded the post to a contact in her phone, her fingers gliding over the screen as she typed: Find out the IP address for me.

A quick response came back: Ms. Fiona, someone dared to mess with you? Want me to take care of it?

Fiona replied: No need.

Ten minutes later, Fiona got the info she needed. As she opened it, Janet's name popped up right away.

It seemed someone was looking for trouble, so she saw no reason to hold back.
