Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1776

When folks heard Fiona's name, they froze, wide-eyed. Was she really part of the famed Stonnell family from the States? They probably hit the nail on the head. Otherwise, why would Shelly be so pally with her? Just moments ago, they were convinced this young lady was Jackson's date or maybe even his secret flame.

They hadn't expected her to have such serious clout. For a moment, they were left speechless, feeling way out of their league. What now? They had really stepped in it this time!

"Ms. Fiona, we're so sorry. Really, we're sorry for being so blind. We said things we shouldn't have. Please, don't hold it against us. We sincerely apologize," they pleaded.

"Yes, Ms. Fiona, it's all our fault. We spoke out of turn, and we deserve whatever comes our way. You and Mr. Woods are perfect together, and we're nothing. Just ignore us, please."

Shelly was a bit puzzled by the whole scene. What were they on about? But given their panicked faces and hurried apologies, she had a pretty good hunch. She swiftly called her dad and laid out the situation. To her surprise, he cut ties with these people right away, ending all business with them and making sure they'd never work together again.

Before these folks could fully grasp who Fiona was, they got the news that their contracts were axed. Without even a goodbye, they quickly bolted from the party.

Shelly scoffed, her lip curling in disdain. "They really fancied themselves, didn't they? It's just a few contracts gone. What's the big fuss?"

"Thanks," Fiona said, giving her shoulder a friendly pat.

Hearing Fiona's gratitude, Shelly felt a bit awkward. Her animosity toward Fiona had faded; maybe Fiona wasn't so bad after all. Perhaps she had just overreacted.

Tyler's one-sided feelings for Fiona weren't her fault, and Shelly could see the genuine bond between Fiona and Jackson. She'd make an effort for her own sake.

The group found a quiet corner to settle in. Their good looks were the talk of the gathering. News of Jackson being from the Woodsnoveldrama

But before anyone could make a move towards Fiona and Jackson, Jasmine had already shooed them away with her sharp tongue that few dared to challenge.

Meanwhile, a spotlight lit up the
