Chapter 746
The car pulled up, a roomy minivan with plenty of space inside. Allysha and her agent settled in together while Eliza leaned in close to Casper, her smile as sweet as sugar as she slipped her hand into his. "Have you been waiting long?" she asked.
"Not at all," he replied softly, giving her hand a gentle squeeze and a quick kiss before telling the driver, "Let's get going."
Allysha couldn't help but roll her eyes. Leaning over to her agent, she muttered through gritted teeth, "No wonder Gabe's head over heels for her. Look at how she's got Casper eating out of her hand. She's definitely got a few tricks up her sleeve."
"Keep your voice down," her agent warned, glancing nervously at the pair in front.
With a sigh, Allysha lowered her voice even more. "It's shameless, really. Married and still flirting with other men. It's all about stealing guys, right? If she can do it, so can I."
Her agent looked at her, white as a sheet. "Please, don't do anything you'll regret," he begged, holding onto her hand.
"It's payback," Allysha said, bitterness dripping from her words. "She stole my man, so I'll take hers."
She'd managed to charm Lee Si, the guy everyone thought was a saint, into spending a month with her. Casper, who seemed to have a stronger appetite for excitement, should be a piece of cake.
The car came to a stop, and Casper, still holding Eliza's hand, stepped out. They walked towards the building, chatting and laughing, with Allysha and her agent trailing behind.
"Don't go acting on any wild ideas," the agent kept reminding her. "You saw how things ended for Kate. Don't go down that same road. Think before you act."
But Allysha was dead-set on getting back at Eliza. "I'm nothing like Kate. She's out of her league compared to me," she insisted. "The men here in Falconridge would line up for me with just a wave of my hand Eliza's only good for someone like Daniel." Cóntent
"Ice, don't be rash," the agent pleaded.
No matter how much her agent tried to talk sense into her, Allysha was like a woman possessed. The product launch and interviews were turning into the Casper and Allysha show. Meanwhile, Eliza sat inthe audience, occasionally checking her phone or snapping a few pictures of Casper. Sometimes, she'd take a selfie.
Suddenly, Allysha called out, "Oh, Mr. Casper, I'm so sorry, please forgive me, can we pause for a moment?" The set descended into chaos.noveldrama
Eliza looked up just in time to see that Allysha had accidentally spilled her coffee all over Casper. It had seeped through his suit and left an embarrassing stain on his pants.
Allysha rushed to clean it up, reaching for him without any hesitation. But Casper stepped back before she could touch him. "I can handle it," he said firmly.
"Mr. Casper, I'm really sorry," Allysha apologized. "I'll have my agent take your suit to be dry cleaned." She gave her agent a pointed look before producing a spare suit. "Please, wear this for now. We're almost done anyway, just make do." Dillon handed the spare suit to Casper. "Mr. Casper, what do you think?"
"Alright," Casper agreed, deciding to focus on finishing the task at hand. He changed into the clean suit, and Allysha's agent took the soiled one away.
As the recording resumed, Eliza watched from her seat. That coffee was meant to be just a prop, so how did it end up spilling? It had to be on purpose. And the new suit Casper put on was practically a match for Allysha's royal blue dress, like they were dressed as a couple.
No, this was definitely intentional. Was Allysha setting her sights on Casper? Wasn't she supposed to be Gabe's girlfriend? She seemed so into Gabe earlier today. How did she suddenly shift her attention to Casper?
What do you think?
