The entrance of Duscia Corporation was packed full.

Ever since the news spread about the company's 2-billion-dollar investment into the Nevernight City Project, countless people had tried to drop in on the company. They hoped to see its general manager, Adrian.

Not only did they want to make an acquaintance with Adrian, but they also wanted to get a hand in the cookie jar.

With such a huge project in the works, every family wanted a piece of it.

However, Adrian was a quiet and elusive person. Everyone was kept out of the company, and they did not see Adrian.

"Dad, why is it so hard to meet Adrian?" Alex looked displeased outside the door amid the crowd.

He was used to being in a high position. This was the first time he was not allowed inside any establishment.

"Adrian is from a top family in Summerdale and far out of reach compared with the Yeager family. It's normal that he would not want to meet us," Evan said softly. "Be smart about this and rein in your temper. If he agrees to see us, we can talk business.

"If we succeed in working out a collaboration, we will get the family's admiration. Then, we'll get a huge portion of the family's assets."

"That's true. Patricia's gone, and Morgan is useless. The Yeager family will be ours in the future."

Every family that tried to weasel their way in was stopped at the gate. However, they did not know that they were being watched.

In the CEO's office of Duscia Corporation, Dustin and Adrian were looking at a computer screen, which showed the situation outside.

"These insignificant families think they can collaborate with us? They really overestimate themselves." Adrian shook his head. He was not at all interested in working with these people.

"We don't need to work with anyone for a project worth 10 billion dollars, much less 2 billion dollars."

Dustin smiled. He saw some familiar faces in the crowd.

There were members of the Yeager family here.

"Adrian, go and see them," Dustin said.

"Yes, My Liege," Adrian said respectfully.

Someone walked through the front door of Duscia Corporation.

"Everyone, please don't crowd our entrance. If you do not comply, we will have to

use force." The company's staff tried to chase the crowd away.

The people in the crowd were all important people from Hattan. They had never been chased off this way before.

However, they did not dare to pitch a fit.

None of them could afford to offend a rich person from Summerdale.

"Our general manager said that the CEO doesn't intend to work with anyone on the Nevernight City Project for the time being. Please save yourselves the trouble."

The words instantly shocked everyone.

It seemed that Adrian was not the true person in charge of Duscia Corporation. Someone else was its CEO!

It was possible that Adrian was the son of a top family in Summerdale, but there was someone even more important than him. Who could that be?

"There's no need to be so nice to me. In truth, Duscia Corporation never planned

to work with anyone. With our capabilities, we don't need anyone's help."
