Upon hearing this, Matthew frantically explained, "Damn. What are you saying? I told you that she's my cousin, the child of my relative. I'm not a beast, okay?"

I thought that he seemed even more dodgy when I saw how worked up he was. Nevertheless, this was his private issue, so I didn't want to get too involved and merely patted him on his shoulder.

"Matt, Isabelle is an amazing woman. Don't cheat on her. Plus, she has been really nice to me recently, and I regard her as my friend now.

"If I find out that you're cheating on her, I won't cover up for you."

Matthew turned a little pale, but he gave me a nod after a few seconds.

The next morning, I went for breakfast with Benjamin and the others. Coincidentally, we ran into Louis on the way downstairs.

He was walking with Zack, chatting happily until he saw me. Immediately, his expression changed.

He pleaded with me on his knees yesterday, with so many witnesses seeing how undignified he was. There was no way he could deny that such a thing happened.

As he wasn't a popular guy and a day had passed, nobody was speaking about it anymore.

However, my appearance constantly reminded him that such a thing had happened, which upset him every time he saw me.

I did not intend to make a fuss about the incident or provoke him, as he wasn't worth my time.

Just when we ignored him and went down the staircase, he suddenly knocked himself into Liam hard as he walked past him.

Liam stumbled and fell hard on me when I had just taken the next step downward.

I almost fell forward, but fortunately, Matthew caught us in time.

Liam asked in a panic, "Are you alright, William?"

I shook my head and glared at Louis. As though nothing happened, he sashayed down the stairs. I glared at his back coldly, then kicked his buttocks without hesitation.

A second later, Louis fell on his face on the staircase with a loud thud. His teeth hit a step, and he was bleeding from his mouth.

Zack was startled and merely looked at me in fear, not daring to make a sound.

Louis was livid with anger,

scrambling to his feet as his mouth continued bleeding. He wanted to lash qut at me, but opening his mouth was so painful that he spun around and bolted away in a huff.

Wearing a worried expression, Liam turned to me. "William, don't you think that you were too harsh?"noveldrama

I argued righteously, "Not at all. If Matthew hadn't helped me to steady myself, we would be the ones falling on our faces like him.

"He's a person who can't resist doing mean things. We must teach him a lesson. Otherwise, he won't stop."

"But if he tells Mr. Parker about this, we'll receive a scolding."

I patted his shoulder. "Don't be afraid. I'll deal with Mr. Parker."

Classes started after we reached the classroom. Louis didn't show up, but Zack

did. The entire time, he didn't dare to look back at us.

As I listened to the lecture, my gaze kept drifting to Felicia's favorite seat, and a wave of frustration stirred in my heart once again. I forgot how long it had been, but there was no news of her at all.

I was fully aware that she had most likely met with a misfortune. Otherwise, she would have called me or the school if she had been taken away by an influential family instead of disappearing completely.

Nevertheless, as long as her body was not found, I could live another day with hope.
