Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 1311

Chapter 1311:

However, her memory occasionally failed her, and worry still lingered in her heart.

“Don’t worry, Grandma. Everything is fine.” Kellan’s lips curled into a subtle smile. “And we have a surprise.”

He took Allison’s hand and lifted it slightly, letting the diamond ring catch the light.

“From now on, Allison and I will truly be family.”

Kinslee’s eyes lit up with joy. She then looked at Allison and asked,

“Kellan proposed?”

Allison nodded.

“Yes, we’re planning to have the wedding this month.”

“Good!” Kinslee beamed. “I always said you two were a perfect match.”

But then, as if remembering something, she became hesitant, and her expression clouded with concern.

“I’m just worried… your father might not approve.”

“It doesn’t matter if he doesn’t.” Kellan hesitated for a moment before continuing. “He was taken away by the police not long ago.”

After much deliberation, he decided Kinslee had the right to know the truth.

He didn’t elaborate, but she saw the depth in his gaze—the quiet confirmation that this had been a long time coming.

She sighed, shaking her head.

“I always knew this day would come. I just didn’t expect it so soon. This is the price he has to pay for his actions.”

There was no grief in her voice, only acceptance.

She had long been disappointed with her son and had shed all her tears years ago.

Now, all she wanted was for Kellan and Allison to be happy.

“I will absolutely attend your wedding this month,” she declared with conviction. “And I will prepare a generous gift for you both.”

She placed their hands together, her touch filled with warmth.

“I want to witness your happiness with my own eyes.”

Allison and Kellan exchanged a smile, understanding passing between them.noveldrama

“Of course.”

At that moment, Allison’s phone buzzed repeatedly in her pocket. She glanced down, seeing a string of unfamiliar numbers flashing on the screen.

Other than Colton, she couldn’t think of anyone else who would be this persistent.

Kellan’s brows furrowed slightly.

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s probably Colton trying to reach me after the Stevens Group went bankrupt,” Allison said matter-of-factly.

There was nothing to hide.

She added, “I can’t do anything about the bankruptcy, but his grandfather Keanu once helped me. So, I’ve already arranged for a specialized organization to look after him.”

Kellan’s lips curved slightly.

“I understand.”

There was a time he had resented Colton, even envied him. But now, none of that mattered.

Because Allison stood before him, smiling as brightly as ever.

And as he thought about the wedding just weeks away, only one thought consumed him — he could finally become her husband.
