Chapter 681
Lance owned a luxury fat in the city center
Though usually unoccupied, it's kept spotless by regular cleaning services
As soon as they stepped inside, before they could even turn on the lights, they couldn't keep their hands off each other again.
Amelia was kissed so thoroughly that her head was spinning, and she couldn't think straight at all.
She had no idea how they ended up in the bedroom.
When Amelia felt Lance's hands slipping off her dress, she immediately grabbed his wrists and shouted in a panic, "Wait"
Lance's voice sounded low and husky in the dark. "What, do you want to take a shower first
Amelia quickly said, "Yeah, I need to take a shower"
Lance rolled off her, "Alright, go ahead then."
Amelia scrambled off the bed, but it was so dark that she fell to the floor.
Luckily, there was a carpet, so it didn't hurt.
"Amy, are you okay?" Lance quickly flipped on the light and pulled her up from the floor.
The room was instantly bathed in bright light.
ng Amelia saw was Lance standing right in front of her.
The first thing
His shirt was already of
Lance had an amazing physique, his toned abs and waistline glistening under the light.
Amelia only dared a quick glance before she hurriedly averted her eyes.
She quickly glanced at the layout of the room, before she dashed straight to the bathroom.
Lance followed, grinning. "Let's shower together."
Amelia immediately said, "No!"
She pushed him out, shoving at his arm,
Lance couldn't help but chuckle. From the other side of the door, he teased, "Are you shy? Fine, I'll go use the guest bathroom."
He rapped on the door again, "Oh, and by the way, there aren't any women's toiletries in there. run out and grab some for you."
it was usually just him living here
"No need. I'll just use yours, Amelia said from inside.
"Alright," Lance replied.
All that back and forth would just be a waste of time.
Lance finished his shower in the guest bathroom, but Amelis still wasn't out.
He waited for another half hour, but she still didn't come out.
He couldst hear the water running inside.
"Amy, you okay!" Lance asked, a hint of concern in his voice,
Amelia replied, I'm fine"
In fact, she'd finished her shower a while ago, but she just didn't have the nerve to step out
Kissing was one thing, but going all the w
way? That was a whole other level.
Amelia lingered in the bathroom for a few more minutes before finally coming out
She still had her dress on
The first thing she saw was Lance sitting on the edge of the bed, with nothing but
a white towel slung low around his waist.
The curtains were sealed shut, not letting a single sliver of light in.
"Come here, honey," Lance said, beckoning her over.
Amelia was at a loss for words
She wrapped her arms around herself and edged toward the door. "Uh, Lance, it's really late. I should go home now!
Before she could make it to the door, Lance yanked her into his arms. "Chickening out?"
Amelia glared at him. "Who's chickening out?"
She glared at Lance, unable to look away from his handsome face.
'No wonder he's Cam's brother. He's just way too good-looking she thought.
Lance arched a brow, teasing. "If you're not scared, then stay."
Amelia just stood there, speechless,
She bit her lip in frustration,
Lance slipped an arm around her waist. "Amy, we're both adults, and we're together. This is totally normal, right?”
Amelia bit her lip, her mind a total mess.
Lance reached over and turned off the lights.
He asked in surprise, "Wait, is this your first time?"
Tears streamed down Amelia's face from the pain. "What do you think?" she asked.
Lance was instantly wracked with guilt. "I'm so sorry. I had no idea. I just thought, you know, at your age... I'm really sorry"
Amelia whimpered, "I'm sorry tool, uh, bit your shoulder.."
Lance gently brushed away the tears at the corner of her eyes. "You silly thing"
And just like that, Amelia drifted off to sleep.
Lance got up and walked over to the window, garing out at the city glowing with a thousand Fights. He lit a cigarette, and as the tip glowed and faded in
the darkness, a faint smile tugged at his lips.
The next morning, as so as Amelia woke up, she met Lance's deep, soulful gaze
Staring at that ridiculously handsome face, the couldn't help but smile Seriously, who wouldn't get lost staring at a face like his? she thought,
"You awake?" Lance asked softly.
"Yeah," Amelia mumbled, finally coming back to her senses. She instantly ducked her head under the covers. "Don't look at ma
Lance smiled, giving her head a gentle pat through the blanket, "Come on, time to get up. I'll wait for you in the living room."
It was only after she heard the door close that Amelia finally let out a sigh of relict
She went to the bathroom and took a look at her neck in the mirror
Thankfully, her skin wasn't that delicate, and there weren't any marks or hickeys left behind
Amelia dragged her feet in the bathroom for a good half hour before finally stepping out.
She didn't put on any makeup.
Even bare-faced, she was still a knockout.
Lance was waiting in the living room, not rushing her at all.
When Amelia finally made it to the living room, she still felt a little awkward.
Lance waved her over. "Come on, let's have breakfast. After that, I'll drive you home.
While Amelia was taking her time, the takeout Lance had ordered arrived.
Not knowing what Amelia liked, he'd ordered a little bit of everything.
Amelia didn't say anything.
Hearing Lance talk like nothing had happened, she couldn't help but frown
She thought, "Last night, we just...
"And now he's in such a hurry to get to work?
Amelia sat down at the table. "Are you heading to work!"
"Are you feeling okay?" Lance asked,
Amelia glanced over at him.
The first time she met Lance, aside from thinking he was very handsome, she
also noticed how icy and aloof he was
His blank face just gave of this vibe that kept everyone at arm's length.
Lance reached out and gently brushed her cheek. You look a little pale. Does it still hurt?"
Amelia bit her lip. "Wow, you're actually taking time out of your busy schedule to care about me!"
Lance said, "Still got the energy to sass me? Guess you're not hurting that much" Amelia said nothing else.
Lance set a glass of milk in hot of her. "Breakfast first. Then I'll take you home" "Okay" Amella replied quietly, sipping her drink slowly and absentmindedly. They hadn't spent much time together, and she still couldn't quite figure out what made Lance tick
Amelia suddenly started to feel a bit of regret for giving herself to Lance so easily last night
I totally lost my head, she thought
Lance ate quickly, and once he was done, there quietly, watching Amelia with a
small smile playing at his lips.
Amelia was quietly stewing.
'But what exactly am upset about? she thought.
Maybe it was because she thought things would be different between them after
last night. However, nothing changed.
Things hadn't turned out the way she'd hoped, and it left her feeling disappointed and unsettled.
Amelia finished her breakfast slowly.
Lance picked up her bag and wrapped an arm around her waist "Come on, let's go. I'll drive you home."
When they got to the parking lot, Amelia slid into the passenger seat and said coolly, "Just drop me off by the curb. I'll catch a cab home myself, so you can hurry off to work."
Lance raised an eyebrow. "Who said I was heading to work?"
Amelia shot him a look. "If you're not going to work, why are you in such a rush to get me home?"
Lance smirked, "I'm taking you home to grab your temporary ID."
Amelia's eyes went wide. "My temporary ID?"
Lance nodded. "And your ID card."
Amelia had a feeling what he meant, but still asked in shock, "What for?"
Lance replied as if it was the most natural thing in the world. "To get married, obviously."
Amelia was so shocked she almost forgot how to breathe, just staring at him with wide eyes.
"Wait, what? Married? Did I hear that right?" she asked.
Lance burst out laughing at her stunned look. "What, you don't want to be my
wife?"
1. Thaven't even had time to think about it!"Amelia stammered, flustered.
Lance started the car and said, "No rush. We've got a long drive ahead before we
get to your place."
Amelia just stared at him, completely at a loss for words.
She glanced at Lance's handsome side profile, and finally, a smile tugged at her
lips,
Just a little while ago, she'd still been sulking over his attitude bark at his place..
She never expected him to jump straight to marriage like that.
Amelia's smile slowly grew wider.
They hadn't even driven that for when Lance suddenly pulled over.
He unbuckled his seatbelt.
Amelia snapped back to reality and asked, "Why'd you pull over?"
Lance said, "I just need to stop by the pharmacy"
Before she could even react, Lance had already hopped out of the car.
Amelia was confused.
A few minutes later, Lance came back.
He handed the box of medicine to Amelia and said, "Twice a day, moming and
night Apply it once when you get home. It should make you feel a bit better.
"What is this..." Amelia asked. When she read the label on the box, her words
just died in her throat.noveldrama
It was actually that kind of medicine.
Amelia held the box, feeling a little awkward.
Suddenly, something occurred to her. She turned to look at Lance,
ance, who was driving. "Lance, you sure seem to know your way around this
kind of thing
huh?"
Lance chuckled. "Honestly, this is my first time buying something like this". "Really?" Amelia raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it.
In her eyes, a guy like Lance must have had plenty of girlfriends at his age
Lance shot her a mischievous grin. "Didn't last night answer that for you?"
Amelia was stunned.
Her cheeks burning, Amelia quickly turned to stare out the window.
A smile tugged at her lips.
"Does it even matter if that's true or not? The past doesn't mean anything, What
really matters is now and the future, she thought
All she knew was that right now, Lance was hers.
Once they arrived downstairs at the Chapman family's place, Amelia got out of the
car.
Before she could leave, Lance said, "Amy"
"What?" Amelia turned back, leaning down to look at him through the open car
door.
Lance replied, "Don't forget to bring the ointment with you when you come down."
"Why?" she asked.
Lance answered, "I'll put it on for y
I you tonight"
Amelia was astonished by what he said.
She laughed, "You're such a pervert!"
Then she hurried into the villain her heels.
Lance sat in the e car, unable to hide the smile on his face.
Ten minutes later, Amelia back.
"Got it?" Lance asked.
Amelia bit her lip and handed him her ID card and temporary ID. "Yeah"
Lance smiled, "Alright."
Amelia asked, "Where's y
s yours?"
"They're in the car, Lance replied.
Cameron and her other family members were still at home, waiting for Lance.
Lance had called early in the morning, telling them not to go out today because he
had something really important to announce.
Gavin kept glancing at his watch, frowning. "What is Lance doing? It's already
past ten."
He had an important meeting scheduled for today.
Jacqueline smiled and said, "Let's just wait a bit longer. We're already running
late, and a few more minutes won't make a difference."
Levi didn't say anything.
Cameron said, "Let me call Lance."
"Mom, Dad, Cam, Gavin, I'm back!"
Just as Cameron finished speaking, Lance showed up at the living room door.
He wasn't alone
Standing right next to him was a tall, drop-dead gorgeous girl.
And that girl was none other than Amelia
Gavin shot up from the couch.
He stared hard at Lance and Amelia's intertwined fingers, his voice full of disbelief
"Lance, who's this?"
Lance walked in, still holding Amelia's hand. "Gavin, what do you think?"
Then he turned to Amelia and said, "Amy, this is my dad, my mom, and my
brother, Gavin. And you already know Cam, right?"
Amelia greeted them with a warm smile. "Hello, Mr. Yates, Mrs. Yates, Gavin. I'm
Amelia Chapman."
Then she shot a playful grin at the stunned Cameron "Hey, Cam❞
Jacqueline and Levi were completely stunned
"When did Lance suddenly being a girl home they both thought.
Jacqueline smiled, "Anty, come in, have a seati❞
Levi also broke into a smile, gesturing for Amelia to sit. "Please, make yourself
comfortable."
Gavin was still in disbelief. "Lance, when did you even get a girlfriend?"
Lance shook his head. "Gavin, she's not my griblend."
Gavin let out a sigh of relief.
However, in the very next moment, Lance casually slapped two marriage licenses
down on the coffee table "Gavin, meat my wife. We just got married"
Gavin widened his eyes in surprise
He swiftly picked up the marriage license and checked it carefully, before he
looked at Lance, opening and closing his mouth several times, completely speechless. Cameron's eyes widened in disbelief as Lance and Amelia appeared, fingers intertwined.
"Wait, so the fiancé Amy kept talking about is actually Lance? she thought, her
mind blown.
Even so, she got over the shock pretty fast.
In fact, Lance and Amelia really looked good together. They were totally a perfect
match
But out of nowhere, Lance actually pulled out their marriage licenses.
She thought, "Wait, they're married?
"Didn't they just meet not that long ago?
"How did they end up getting married this fast?
"That was lightning fast!"
Even Levi and Jacqueline were left completely stunned.
They both scrambled to grab the other marriage license. "No way. It's real.
They're actually married!"
Jacqueline's smile faded and she immediately frowned. "Lance, this is way out of
line!"
"Out of line?" Lance echoed, genuinely puzzled. "Weren't they the ones always hoping I'd get married?
'Now that I finally tied the knot, they're actually upset about it?' he thought.
Jacqueline frowned and said, "Neither of our families have even met yet, and you just took Amy to get the marriage license? That's way too disrespectful What will people think of Amy? What do you expect her family to think?"
Lance was left speechless.
Amelia quickly chimed in, "Mrs. Yates, any parents are really open-minded. I told
them I was taking my temporary ID to get married today, and they didn't

have any objections"
Levi and Jacqueline were stunned by her words.
After a long pause, Levi finally Spoke up, "Lance, go and get some giftsready right
now. We're going to apologue to Amy's family in person
Jacqueline said, “Oh please, like he knows what to buy. I handle it. 17 get
everything ready right now."
Lance kept silent.
Amelia couldn't help but smile.
"Wow, Cam's parents are so nice. I never thought this would be their first reaction
after finding out we got married, she thought
Jacqueline and Levi hurried off to figure out what gifts to bring when meeting the Chapman family later
Amelia walked over to Cameron and linked arms with her. "Cam, I'm really sorry
for keeping this from you for so long
Cameron glanced at Amelia, then at Lance. "No wonder the cologne on Lance
smelled so familiar to me"
Amelia chuckled, "Cam, you're not mad at me, are you?"
What do you think?
