The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage)

Harmony POV.

Going back to the party, I put on a happy face, no matter the turmoil inside of me or the uneasy feeling in my stomach. Today is about the children and the survivors of domestic violence.

I smile like nothing is wrong and Mav is watching me closely. He is just staring at me in disbelief that one second I'm shaking and crying, the next I'm laughing and smiling like nothing happened.

"You should get into acting." Mav says to me and I smile up at him, but I know the smile doesn't fully reach my eyes. He knows this too. He kisses my orange face and I chuckle as he pulls back with orange face paint on the tip of his nose, lips, and chin.

"You got face paint on you." I say as I use my sleeve to wipe it from him, and he chuckles.

“Good luck getting that paint off your face. I wouldn't be surprised if the orange has stained your skin." He chuckles and my eyes widen. Oh, well bugger. I didn't think of that when I applied it to my face.

"I know what you're doing." I say to him and he chuckles, pulling me back into his arms. Lowering his face as he kisses my shoulder.

"Is it working?" He asks, all gruff. I nod my head and smile.

"Yeah, it is, thank you." I smile up at him and he winks at me.

"Now, let's go and get Melody from your brother." He says to me as he takes my hand and we walk around the stalls and rides looking for Melody. People come up to me and tell me how much fun they are having and that it is a great day. I smile at them and thank them for coming.

We finally find Melody with my brother and I stifle a laugh as I watch my big brother sitting in front of the woman who is painting a pink sparkly unicorn on his cheek.

"Pink really is your colour." I say to him and he turns his eyes to me and flips me off.

"I look good in any colour, you know this," he says smugly, and I laugh harder as Melody giggles, feeding Harry candy. These two are inseparable. Harry loves all the kids of the club and I know one day when he is ready to hang up his man whore ways and settles down. He will be a great dad.

Even though he will be club president, he does have his head screwed on right. He may act like an absolute tool at times, but he does have a heart of gold. I will be, of course, vetting any future ole ladies to make sure they are worthy of him and not just after his patch.

Harry and I grew up seeing how a healthy relationship and marriage should work. We have the best parents there is.

"Harry open up." Melody says as Harry opens mouth, and Melody gives him a gummy bear. I smile at this when he pretends to bite her fingers.

One of the sheriffs walks past, and I hear the dispatcher talking through the radio. I only catch bits of it.

"EMT en route to the scene. Are there any casualties?" I stop and listen to what they are saying, but then realise it is none of my business.

"Negative, the store was closed." Another voice.

"Please confirm the destination."

"Books and Brews on Main Street." My world stops spinning and I stiffen. No, they have to have it wrong. Not my store.

I grab the sheriff, and he looks down at me with sad eyes.

"I'm sorry Harmony." He says and I take off running towards the main gate. Mav and Harry chasing me as I run down the driveway and stop on the road and look towards the town and can see the black smoke in the air. My knees threaten to give out.

All my hard work, gone.

Mav catches me before I fall. This is not fucking happening! This is Joel, he knew where I worked, that means he ... my eyes widen and I look at Mav.

"I need to get home now!" I say to him, panicking. Mystique is in the house. If he goes to my house, he will kill her. I can't have that blood on my hands.

"Calm down. What's happened?" Mav says to me and I look at him with tears in my eyes and rage festering in my heart.

"Joel, he burnt down my store. I need to get home. Mystique could be in danger." I say, and Harry grabs his phone and makes a call. Mav lifts me into his arms.

Everything I worked hard for has just gone up in smoke. All because Joel wants me to come to him. Well, he is going to get his wish.noveldrama

I will go to him and I won't be alone. This is too much, all because he never got the chance to take me when we were teenagers? He has held on to that all these years? Or is it because I escaped the main auction and stole Mystique? Well, I didn't steal her; she came willingly. She is mine now.

Whatever the damn reason, he will soon learn what happens when you try to take

a member of my family. He will wish he stayed the fuck away.

I didn't realise Mav had put me in his cage when he starts the engine.

"Wait, where is Melody?" I ask him and he looks at me.

"Your nanna and pop-pop have her. Apparently, Melody was going to show them how to play the games. She is safe with them." He kisses my knuckles as we drive towards my house. The closer we get, I keep looking for smoke and seeing none. My heart returns to normal.

We pull up in the driveway and I'm out of the cage and jogging to the front door. I enter the code and scan my finger print as the security system powers down and the door opens. I run inside, scanning the room for any signs of an intruder.

But there is none. I take a breath, realising he couldn't get in, not even if he had a tank. He wouldn't have gotten in.

Mystique comes in from the kitchen and I smile at her when I hear a thud behind me. I turn slowly as Mystique growls.

My eyes widen seeing Mav on the floor out cold. But it's not just that that makes me panic. It's the man holding what looks like a tranquiliser gun in his gloved hand. His arm hanging relaxed at his side.

"Hello Harmony, long time no see." He says with a smirk on his face. Mystique roars, moving to my side.

"Joel." I say and that smirk turns into a smile. He lifts the arm with the gun and points it at Mystique.

"So now you remember my name? Good, we have a lot to talk about, don't you think so, baby? Can't have any distractions." He says as he fires the gun. "NOOOOOO, Mystique." I turn and move to her when she staggers on her feet and goes down with a hard thud. I turn to face him and he smirks at me. "Time to go night night, Harmony." He fires the gun at me and I slump next to Mystique. My tongue feels thick in my mouth and my vision blurs and spins.

"I will kill you." I manage to say as he steps closer before he squats in front of me and grabs my face.

"Sure you will, sleep Harmony." He says and I try to fight it, but the darkness around the edges of my vison takes over and I'm out cold.
