It was not surprising that Ace had to trouble Monte with his problems-it was unreasonable, but he had no choice.

Then, Ace continued, "Later on, we had a breakthrough in our research. Still, when we got what we wanted, the project leader suddenly defected.

"So, they hunted him to reclaim the results of their research, and I was somehow lucky enough to run into him. I took it from him, but now I'm the one who has to watch my back, so I sneaked away while passing myself as Monte so that they can't find me."

Frank nodded before asking, "So who's Zemo?"

Ace smiled. "He's disavowed, just like me. We're basically teaming up for the numbers, though that's unnecessarily now that you're here. With your unparalleled might and wits, I find it safe enough to offer my bargain."

Frank narrowed his eyes skeptically. "Don't tell me there's a catch for that too?"

Judging from how Ace was putting it, it was as if everyone else would find out once he offered his secret. That was why he hid it all this while and kept a low profile.

Ace nodded. "There's really no hiding anything from you, huh? Actually, it's not a catch-you just have to collect certain items owned by that secret group."

"Tell me how they'd find out!" Frank was actually curious-that secret group was not all-knowing, were they?

Ace thought about it. "Actually, it's not really impossible to do that. The gist is that you need someone who controls the power of the spiritron vein just like you. Since that group is always keeping watch over such individuals, they would definitely catch on."

Frank nodded in understanding, and Ace continued, "So, my suggestion is to eliminate said group before undoing the curse of the spiritron vein!"noveldrama

Frank could not agree more. "So tell me, who exactly are there?"

"The group's name is Heracles." Ace shrugged. "I'm sure you have people in intelligence-send them over to investigate, and you'll understand everything."

Frank nodded again. "I'll ask again-what are the other favors you had in mind? It can't be just meeting your twin."

Ace chuckled. "I'll tell you in time. Don't worry-it's not that impossible, and nobody will get hurt."

Frank nodded and arranged a room for him before calling up Jouri Yelin and telling her everything.

"Interesting" Jouri exclaimed. "I'm surprised there are so many twists and turns involved-don't worry, I'll definitely investigate the group for you just as I'm sure it'd be easy to take them down."

Frank smiled but said nothing, as there had to be more to Heracles than they were aware of.

On top of that, they were operating across different borders whilst keeping a constant eye on individuals who wielded the power of the spiritron vein.

That was why Frank would never underestimate them.

Moxxi visited Frank that same afternoon.

"What's going on, Mr. Frankton?" she asked. "I heard that there's another major operation! That sounds so exciting-you have to assign me on this one too!"

Like Monte, Moxxi was eager to prove herself. Being much less experienced than Jada Turin and the Cerulean Summit Legion, she could not let slip such an opportunity!

Still, Frank shook his head. "We'd have to assess the situation before deciding. Don't worry-I'm not denying you the chance to succeed, since I'm not that hardworking and prefer to delegate."

Moxxi smiled and nodded. "So I've heard, given what happened with Monte and the Costners, but I'd still have to advise you against it. Monte and I may both come from BMO` Group, but I believe something is strange with the guy."

"How so?"

"I can't exactly say, but I think Monte has problems up here!" Moxxi said, pointing

at her head.

"Elaborate if you can."

"Well, we've met a few times, but it's like he's lost pieces of his memory. It's like they put a chip in his brain—in other words, he seemed brainwashed!"
