"Who fell into the water? Has anyone managed to pull them out?" Eliza asked immediately.
"It's Jacqueline Henderson, the eldest daughter of the Henderson family. We've sent people to rescue her, but for some reason, we just can't get her out," a servant replied, sounding exasperated.
Eliza's brows knitted slightly. "What do you mean you can't get her out? Didn't you send more people who know how to swim?"
The servant sighed helplessly.

"We did, but Miss Henderson... she's panicking and thrashing around in the water. The maids
trying to save her either get shoved away or dragged under.
No one can get close enough to help her."
Eliza was about to issue further instructions when her sharp gaze caught sight of
a servant from an unfamiliar household
sneaking in from the backyard, attempting to crash the banquet.
Her eyes narrowed
dangerously. "Tina, go quietly apprehend that servant and hand them over to Malaki.
Then, make sure Jacqueline is

rescued and bring her to me."
"Understood."
A voice responded, but the speaker remained unseen.

Eliza gave a calm instruction, inviting the guests in the flower hall to enjoy themselves. She then turned and disappeared into the inner chambers.
Moments later, Tina arrived, dragging along a soaking wet figure.
"Let go of me! Let me go!"
Jacqueline coughed and
struggled, her voice sharp with indignation.

Tina ignored her protests. At
Eliza's signal, she unceremoniously tossed Jacqueline onto the couch by
the window.

"You idiot! Do you even know who I am? I'm Jacqueline Henderson, the eldest daughter of the Henderson family and sister to the Imperial Consort! How dare you treat me like this! Believe it or not, I'll have you beaten to death!"
Jacqueline yelped as she hit the couch, momentarily stunned. She quickly got up, pointing an accusatory finger at Tina, completely unaware of the

other presence in the room.

"Big talk for someone in your position." A cold voice cut through the air, silencing the commotion.

Eliza sat at the table, with a cup of freshly brewed coffee from Renee in her hand. Her gaze was icy as it landed on Jacqueline.
"Jacqueline, this is the Padilla estate, not your Henderson mansion. You have no right to throw your weight around here, let alone threaten my people." Eliza's tone was calm but carried undeniable
authority.

Today, Eliza was hosting the banquet as the head of the
Padilla family, not in her

capacity as the Holy Lady.
Hearing that familiar voice, Jacqueline hastily pushed aside her wet hair and looked up
toward the source of the
sound.
The moment Jacqueline realized it was indeed Eliza, she froze in shock. "Eliza?
Y...
you, weren't you in the flower hall? How are you here?"
"How dare you!"
Renee, meticulously trained by Malaki, had long mastered the

art of defending the dignity and authority of Her Grace, the Holy Lady, at the right time and place.

Her gaze turned sharp as she snapped, “Miss Henderson, mind your words! You have no right to call Her Grace by her name. And let me remind you, she no longer carries the
Stonor name. Are you
questioning His Majesty's
decree by using her old name?"
Renee's sharp words left Jacqueline speechless.
'Why are they making such a big deal out of it? I only said "Eliza" without thinking!'

But she didn't dare argue.

Normally, with her arrogant temperament, she wouldn't tolerate a mere maid speaking to her like this. She'd have made sure to teach the maid a lesson.
But now, this wasn't just any maid-she belonged to Eliza Padilla. And Eliza Padilla had
become a favored figure before His Majesty, renowned as the Holy Lady, and even the head of the prestigious Padilla family.
How could she possibly object

to that?
