The Silent 710
Adeline grabbed Dale's sword with both hands, letting the blade cut deep into her palms, yet she refused to let go.
Adeline cried, "Dale, you mustn't die! What should I do if you die? How could I possibly go on living without you?"
Adeline broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.noveldrama
"Dale, our son is gone. I can't bear losing you. If you're set on this, take me with you. Let our family of three reunite in the afterlife and spare me the agony of separation!"
She was afraid of death, but what terrified her even more was losing Dale and her son.
Deep down, Adeline had always known she had never been a good person.
From the moment she was born into the Duke's estate and bore the name Stonor, she knew she could never claim moral purity.
Not a single one of the Stonors was innocent!
Yet even so, there were still people she was determined to protect.
Adeline loved Dale with all her heart.
She fell in love with Dale at first sight.
Adeline thought, "Who is that dashing young man on the path? So gallant and fair. I vow to wed him and be his forever."
Adeline whispered through tears, "Dale, I vow to stay by your side through life and death, never to part."
Staring at Adeline's tear-streaked face and the stubborn, unyielding look in her eyes, Dale finally let out a resigned sigh.
"Alright, Adeline. We live or die together tonight."
If they made it, they escaped together. If not, they would die together.
Gabriel sneered, "What a pair of pathetic, love-struck fools."
Gabriel's icy gaze fixed on Adeline. "Seems you've grown bold indeed. Now you even dare defy my orders. Tell me, when exactly did you stop regarding me as your elder brother?"
Adeline didn't answer him.
She clung tightly to Dale, who had now lowered his sword and was gently cradling her injured hand.
Upon hearing Gabriel's words, Dale shot back, "You heartless monster! You could even bring yourself to hurt your nephew and your daughter! Someone as ruthless and cold-blooded as you doesn't deserve to be called a brother, let alone a father"
"You can keep up your defiant talk, but don't delude yourself," said Gabriel. "None of you will leave here alive tonight. If you know what's good for you, tell me everything that happened in the Nevill family, and I may grant you the mercy of a clean death."
As for Adeline, Gabriel didn't even mention her.
To Gabriel, Adeline's life or death was merely at his whim, hardly worth a second thought.
Dale burst into a bitter, mocking laugh.
He glared at Gabriel with blazing fury. "How ridiculous! Don't you know what happened to the Nevill family? Are you trying to wash the Duke's estate chun of its collision with the foreign tribes?*

Dale burst into a bitter, mocking laugh.
He glared at Gabriel with blazing fury. "How ridiculous! Don't you know what happened to the Nevill family? Are you trying to wash the Duke's estate clean of its collusion with the foreign tribes?"
Gabriel paused, narrowing his eyes slightly. "What a clever accusation to pin on me, he said coolly Unfortunately, it's polling buta
Dale thought, 'Is it just absolute nonsense?'
Date could tell from the change in Gabriel's expression that even if Gabriel didn't know About Sophie's attempt to control the evil farmer with pa he must have known about Sophie's ties to the barbarian clans.
Dale thought angrily, 'Perhaps the Duke's estate had long been in league with the foreign tribes behind Sophie.
'Otherwise, where do all the foreign infiltrators in Hasen City come from?
With all his power and reach, how could the Duke of Mowbay possibly be
completely unaware of so many foreign tribes in Hasen City?
I wouldn't believe Gabriel for a second even if he denied it.
The Nevill family has been ruined by Sophie, and yet Gabriel still chased us all
the way here. Does he expect me to believe it's just because of what happened in
the past?
'No. Gabriel only came after us himself because of the secrets Sophie holds."
'Why else would Gabriel himself leave Hasen City?
'Gabriel wants to know what had happened to the Nevill family, what secrets they
had uncovered, and how much they knew.
'He isn't even here to find his daughter.
'He's only here to eliminate all witnesses.
'Because he's terrified.
'Colluding with foreign tribes is high treason!
'At the mildest punishment, the entire family will be executed. At the severest punishment, their extended families will be implicated and punished.
'How could Gabriel not be terrified?
'The Duke's estate has betrayed everything and everyone to get the power they
have today.
'How could Gabriel possibly accept it if all his efforts went down the drain because
of a single misstep?'
Suddenly, a realization struck Dale. His eyes flashed with a sharp glint.
'No... Perhaps the Duke's estate had made its fatal misstep long ago.'
Dale said, "You know damn well whether it's nonsense, Lord Mowbay. I know we won't walk out of here alive today. But before you strike, thank you.” Even knowing death was imminent, Dale suddenly flashed Gabriel a defiant grin. Gabriel scoffed, "Thank me? For what? Thank me for/silencing witnesses?" Gabriel still hadn't grasped Dale's meaning at that point. He simply found Dale's words absurd.
Gabriel's patience was wearing thin. With icy calm, he said, "If you insist on playing the fool at this point, the conversation is over."
However, Dale curled his lips with a mocking glint in his eyes and sneered, "You've destroyed the Marquis's estate. Do you truly think the Duke's estate will have the last laugh? Mark my words, Gabriel Stonor. Whether we live or die today, your family and mine will share the same doomed fate."
Heaven's justice is clear. Retribution never fails.
The Marquis's estate had fallen.
The Duke's estate would meet the same fate. It was only a matter of time.
After all, the Padilla family was waiting for them in the underworld.
Gabriel locked eyes with Dale's. His mind stirred, and only now did he finally seem to understand what Dale had truly meant.
In that instant, Gabriel's fury erupted like wildfire.
His murderous aura was no longer concealed, radiating from his entire being.
Gabriel's gaze swept over Adeline, who stood opposite him with deep hatred and was determined to live or die with Date. Upon seeing that, Gabriet hesitated no longer.
"Since you refuse to speak, you shall speak no more," said Gabriel. Gabriel gently raised his hand. Instantly, countless assassins drew their blades,
the cold glint of steel flashing across the faces of Dale, Adeline, and the
others.
The chill night breeze swept through, followed by Gabriel's ruthless command,
"Kill them."
