Evelyn felt her heart clench. She was slightly stunned and a little disbelieving.

It was fine. She would just ask him next time.

She had neither the strength nor energy to pester him about it right now.

She removed the pills from their packaging and put them into clear bottles. After disposing of the packaging, she returned to Flying Seal Group.

Evelyn didn't mention anything about visiting the hospital for a check-up. Justine thought she had gone to visit Leonard, so she asked Evelyn about his condition.

Evelyn was reminded of how miserable he had seemed. She closed her eyes and shook her head. "He's the same as always."

Feeling sorry, Justine hugged Evelyn.

Evelyn hugged back. "It's fine."

That night, Evelyn left work and returned home to collect her thoughts. Combat drones were a major project for the advancement of technology, and Flying Seal Group would be corresponding closely with the decision-makers for the next two years.

Evelyn already had a complete plan in mind, but she still needed to discuss it with Sebastian and the others.

Before she knew it, it was already nearing 10:00 pm.

"I bumped into Lucas and Tiffany tonight while meeting up with Mr. York. Tiffany was being greedy, attempting to collaborate on Flying Seal's next project!"

Evelyn was slightly surprised by Tiffany's unfounded confidence. "What did Lucas think about it?"

Sebastian snickered. "He was willing to provide the funds. As long as Flying Seal Group approves, it'll be seen as blatant nepotism."

Evelyn leaned slightly against the kitchen island. She couldn't help but flash a helpless smile.

Was Lucas using his actions to tell her that Tiffany was worth it, regardless of whatever she did?

"Sebastian, you don't need to think about my feelings. Our project's ultimate goal is to earn money, so if you think it's appropriate after assessing it, you can give it a try."

Evelyn wouldn't allow her personal feelings to influence the overall situation. Flying Seal Group carried the efforts of many people involved, so it wouldn't do for her to be led by emotions.

Besides, she was no longer bothered by it.

"You might not be disgusted, but I am!" Sebastian gave a cold laugh. "There are plenty of others with the power and funds. Bluezen isn't the only company out there, after all. Flying Seal Group doesn't need to be chosen by others! Do what you want without any worries. I have your back!"

A feeling of warmth spread through Evelyn's heart. "Thank you, Sebastian."

Sebastian snorted and said, "Don't be corny! I'm hanging up now!"

Evelyn looked at her screen, smiling silently.

She didn't know how Sebastian was planning to rebuff Lucas and Tifanny, nor did she plan on interfering.
