Rachel stared at the charred and smoking meat, feeling utterly mortified.

At this moment, she just wanted to disappear into the ground.

She couldn't even bring herself to look at Xander, terrified that she might see even the slightest odd expression on his face.

But in the end, she couldn't resist. She stole a glance at him, trying to gauge his reaction.

Xander didn't glance at her even once.

He picked up a piece of meat and held it up near Isabel's mouth.

"You're hungry too, go ahead and eat."

Isabel looked at the meat barely touching her lips, unsure of how to respond.

"I-I'll eat it myself," she said, feeling uncomfortable with the idea of being fed by someone else.

Xander smiled, his eyes full of amusement, before leaning in close to Isabel's ear, so close that everyone else thought he was kissing her ear.

He deliberately whispered in a voice so soft only the two of them could hear. "What's this? You feed me, but I can't feed you?"

Isabel berserkly ranted at him internally.

What did he mean by she fed him? It was him grabbing her hand and shoving the meat into his mouth!

And seriously, could he not speak so close to her ear?

It was winter, but the heat of his breath on her face was making her feel incredibly warm.

Her ears weren't just warm-they were burning, and the tingling sensation spread through her body.

As Isabel mentally grumbled at him, Xander's deep, mellow voice sounded again in her ear.

"Are you asking me to feed you with my mouth?"

Isabel's eyes widened in shock, her gaze shifting to the side as she looked at him.

Her reaction was enough to make everyone's hearts race.

The ear was a sensitive spot, something no one should touch lightly. One wrong move and it could make a girl weak in the knees.

Isabel's face turned bright red at an alarming rate. "You wouldn't dare," she snapped.

"Rachel! Rachel!" Harriet chased after her, taking a few steps before turning back to glare at Isabel with a furious look. She stomped her foot in frustration, before running after Rachel.

"Unbelievable!" Vernon said, his heart aching to see his idol cry.

In his mind, his idol was someone to cherish and protect, not someone who should ever be made to cry.

Max rolled his eyes at Vernon, walking over to stand in front of him.

"Vernon, you might want to wash your eyes. Didn't you see that Xander was taking advantage of Isabel?"

"Well, Isabel practically threw herself

at Xander. You all saw it too-she gave him the cooked meat. She's a clever one, that Isabel," Vernon said, grumbling with frustration.

Yvette had enough. Placing her hands on her hips, she stepped in to defend Isabel.

"Why don't you mind your own business? They're a couple, and that's just their thing. What's it to you? Do you think you're some kind of moral police now? What happens when you get married one day, and you and your wife are flirting around and people start pointing fingers at you, calling you immoral?How would you feel?"
