Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1772

Jane's words hit a nerve, and she slapped the makeup mirror out of Amy's hand, snatching the lipstick and slamming it onto the table. "Don't get too smug. You think I don't know how you managed to pull it off..."

Before she could spill the beans, Amy's face shifted, and she quickly clamped her hand over Jane's mouth.

"What's gotten into you? Do you really think wrecking my stuff will make you the star at the party? Get real, Jane. You should take a long, hard look at yourself right now!"

Fiona, uninterested in their bickering, left the bathroom, changed into fresh clothes, and slung a black backpack over her shoulder before leaving the dorm.

Amy rushed after her, grabbing Fiona's hand and popping a croissant into her mouth. "Don't spit it out. It's delicious, and I got it just for you."noveldrama

Fiona glanced at her, silent but with a clear distance in her eyes. Amy wanted to bridge that gap, but they could never go back to the early days when Fiona first landed in the States.

Fiona headed to her apartment, leaving Amy behind. Jackson was at the villa, and she didn't want them to meet. It wasn't about disliking Amy, but Jackson was struggling with the Woods family, and she didn't want to drag him into this mess.

As she climbed the stairs, Fiona made sure Jane prepared an extra invitation for Tyler. If Josie was so eager for him to come, it was only polite to oblige.

Inside the apartment, Jackson was already lounging on the couch, waiting for her along with a few others sitting respectfully. Fiona was curious about them, but when she noticed the boxes and gear at their feet, it clicked-they were makeup artists Jackson had brought in. They looked pretty pro, but with her own makeup skills already top-notch, she didn't really need their help.

Still, it was a sweet gesture from Jackson, so she let it slide.

Glancing around, Fiona spotted a row of evening gowns, including those she snagged from International Glam.

"Why all this fuss?" she teased, a blush coloring her cheeks.

Jackson stood, walked over, and playfully ruffled her hair. "Tonight's party, I want you to be the star."

There was more behind his plans. When Jackson and Josie had their sham engagement in the Capital, he went out of his way to keep Fiona from finding out, sneaking off to a secluded island for the event. But she found out anyway.

Back then, even though Fiona was stunning, all eyes were on Josie since she

was the centerpiece of the fake engagement.

This time, even though it was Josie's gig, Jackson wanted Fiona to steal the

show. He aimed to show the world just how amazing his woman was.

As the Stonnett family's sole heir, Jackson's status was enough to make anyone think twice. He wanted to broadcast that no matter why his parents were chased out of the States, he was back with a vengeance and power. Those who

once dared to cross him should now

measure their strength carefully.
