Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1771

Seeing Fiona had no intention of making a fuss, Jane slowly retreated to her own bed. She shot a glance at Amy, who was lounging comfortably on her bed, and silently vowed to remember this slight.

If Amy had known all along that Fiona was from the renowned Stonnell family, why hadn't she given Jane a heads-up? Was she just waiting to watch Jane trip over herself?

Resentment bubbled up inside Jane. The thought of having to apologize to Fiona, swallowing her pride, made her blood boil. Not too long ago, she had Fiona under her thumb, and now she was the one groveling. How could she tolerate this turn of events?

When Fiona finally woke up again, it was the next day. The dorm was as rowdy as ever, with noise filtering in from outside. Annoyed, she pulled the covers over her head. How long were these people going to keep up the racket?

Every fiber of her being was itching with impatience.

Jane, in the middle of trying on a dress, suddenly froze. She cautiously glanced over at Fiona's bed, picking up on a hint of irritation.

There was a crowd chatting away at the dorm door. Jane put down her dress, swung the door open, and gave them a fierce glare. "Pipe down! Enough with the noise!"

The group she shouted at was caught off guard. Normally, Jane would be all in for a bit of gossip with them, but today, she was all fire and brimstone. They exchanged puzzled looks, wondering if they had heard her wrong.

"Jane, what's the deal? Why are you so worked up today?"

"Yeah, aren't you heading to a party later? Being angry isn't great for your look."

"Did Fiona get under your skin this morning? Let me in there, and I'll give her a piece of my mind for you!"

Jane's ears were ringing from all the chatter, and she couldn't help but frown. "All of you, zip it! You're driving me nuts. Go back to your rooms and quit the jabbering!"

Jane was usually friendly with them, so this outburst was a shocker.

"Hey, what's up, Jane? If something's wrong, spill the beans, and we'll back you up."

They tried to cozy up to Jane, but one withering look from her had them all slinking back to their rooms.

The hallway finally quieted down, and Jane let out a sigh before heading back inside, shutting the door gently behind her.noveldrama

But when she looked up, there was

Fiona, sitting on her bed, eyes half-closed and looking far from her best, radiating an unmissable vibe.

It looked like...

A case of morning grumpiness!

Jane swallowed nervously and went back to her vanity, avoiding Fiona's gaze.

Meanwhile, Amy, while touching up her eyebrows, let out a laugh. "Jane, who'd have guessed you're so

scared of Fiona? She's not somen et ́

monster. The way you tiptoe around her makes it hard not to think you're terrified."

Jane shot Amy a venomous glare but held her tongue. For once, she didn't snap back.

Amy, on the other hand, was acting quite out of character around Fiona. She paused her makeup, glanced at Fiona, and said, "Fiona, let's head in

her later."

Then she shot Jane a teasing look, clearly relishing the drama. "After all, we're the

ones holding the real golden tickets."
