Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1825

Jackson knew all too well that letting this go wasn't an option for him. It just wasn't in his nature. So, he decided to start with Vincent. "I know what I'm doing," Jackson's deep voice echoed with resolve.noveldrama

Kimberly sighed as she watched him leave. Her brother was wonderful in many ways, but he held grudges tightly and never let himself be at a disadvantage. However, that's just how Jackson was, and she had come to accept it.

After leaving the Carter estate, Jackson drove straight to Riverside College, timing it perfectly as Fiona and her friends, including Jane, emerged from the school gates. From a distance, Fiona spotted a sleek, understated yet undeniably luxurious stretch limousine parked at the entrance. Together with her friends, she approached the car.

"Jackson!" Fiona practically leaped into his arms with a smile. He towered over her, gently ruffling her hair as she looked up and asked, "What brings you here?"

"I had some business nearby and noticed you were about to finish class. Thought I'd come and take you all out for dinner."

Fiona agreed without hesitation. It had been too long since she and Jackson had shared a meal. As the group climbed into the car, Jane hesitated. Despite resolving past misunderstandings with Fiona, she couldn't shake off a lingering sense of inadequacy.

"What are you doing?" Fiona, sitting in the front passenger seat, leaned out the window and asked, "Didn't I tell you? If you choose to wallow, that's on you."

After a moment's thought, Jane got in the car, but she kept a low profile, almost shrinking into her seat, staying silent. Had she known Fiona's true character from the start, Jane might not have been so antagonistic. Moreover, with the Blake family backing Fiona, how could she have ever thought of challenging her?

Sighing, Jane increasingly felt like she was in the wrong. Fiona, on the other hand, sensed that Jackson's visit wasn't a mere coincidence Ever since they moved to the States, Jackson had been unusually busy, as was Kimberly. It had been ages since they last saw each other.

"Has something happened?" Fiona asked.

Jackson nodded and recounted the information he and Kimberly had gathered at the Carter family estate. Even though Fiona had her suspicions, hearing it all laid out left her stunned. What could have happened back then to entangle so many powerful families?

"I'll handle the Blake and Mitchell families. The Carter family is complicated. You and Emma need to tread carefully."

As for the Hayes and Pearson families, they'd have to improvise based on how events unfolded. Jane nudged Tyler and whispered, "What are they talking about? Why is my family involved?"

Tyler glanced at Fiona before

explaining Jackson's family situation to Jane. After a long pause, Jane suddenly spoke with conviction, "I'm part of the Hayes family. If they truly wronged Mr. Jackson, I'll personally see to it that they face justice."

Fiona nearly laughed. The situation wasn't that dire; they just needed to uncover the truth about what happened back then. Once the truth was revealed, they could decide on their course of action.

"If it comes to dismantling the Hayes family, what will you do?" Fiona teased with a smile.
