No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

This was Frank's own doing-his well-deserved retribution.

"Frank, why are you coughing up blood?"

Lucas hurriedly helped Frank sit up. "I just saw Donovan leaving with Xenia. What's going on? Donovan said you're insisting on sending Xenia to jail for Noelle!"

"Lucas, do you believe me?"

"Of course I believe you."

Frank recounted everything that had happened at the coffee shop the day before. "That's how it all went down. But with the surveillance footage destroyed,

Donovan doesn't believe me."

Lucas found himself torn.

"Frank, it's not that I don't believe you. But if I hadn't seen the footage myself, I'd find it hard to imagine that Xenia could be so manipulative or that she drugged Noelle. It's too much to handle."

"I understand that it's hard to accept. If I hadn't seen the footage with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it either!"

Frank's face was pale, his chest heavy, as though he couldn't catch his breath. "But don't be so quick to trust anything Xenia says."

Xenia wasn't a good person.

Seeing how anguished Frank was, Lucas swallowed the words he wanted to say.

In the end, he nodded. "Alright, I promise."

In truth, Lucas also had doubts, wondering if there was some misunderstanding between Noelle and Xenia.

However, Frank's condition looked dire.

Frank gripped Lucas' hand, his voice trembling. "Also, try to find out why Noelle took sick leave and which hospital she's staying at. Go visit her for me. Tell her that even if it costs me my life, I'll make sure she gets justice!"

"Noelle, it's me."

Noelle's tone was cold when she heard Lucas' voice. "What do you want?"

"Frank's in the hospital and in bad shape. If you're free, you should come see him. He's really worried about you!"

"Doesn't he have Xenia to take care of him? He doesn't need me."

"Frank really dislikes Xenia now. He's already kicked her out."

Lucas remembered what Frank had said and couldn't help but ask, "Noelle, was it really Xenia who drugged you that night at the bar?"

"Did you see the surveillance footage?"

"No, Frank said the USB drive disappeared. He suspects Xenia took it, but there's no evidence."

Noelle's suspicions were confirmed upon hearing this.

"Xenia really has incredible luck, doesn't she? She always manages to get away."

Lucas hesitated before speaking. "Is there some kind of misunderstanding between you and Xenia? Did she really do all that?"

Still, it was hard for him to believe.

"Ha. Go back and warn Xenia. She might have slipped away this time, but it's far from over. She'll face her sentence soon enough."
