No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Noelle's eyes flashed with anger. She would make the perpetrator pay. Cedric had nearly died for her. If not for his luck and the fact that the car was modified, he would probably be on the brink of death.

"Noelle, let's discuss this after both of you are recovered. If you want to take revenge on your enemies, you need to be patient. There's no point being in a hurry."

She diverted the topic by asking Alfred, "Can you take me to Cedric?"

She wanted to confirm how severe his wounds were.

"Let me take a look."

Alfred returned in minutes. "Let's go. I'll lead you there. Can you manage?"

"I'm fine."

Noelle headed to Cedric's room with Alfred. Looking at him in the ICU, she teared up. "Didn't you say that he was fine?"

"There isn't anything hugely wrong with him. He's just got a concussion slightly more severe than yours and needs to stay under observation. His family is very concerned for him, so they asked for him to be hospitalized in the ICU."

She stood outside watching him for a while. "I'll visit him after he wakes up."

During the accident, she remembered how Cedric steered the car in the other direction to protect her. If not, she wouldn't be barely wounded while he was in the ICU.

Alfred sighed and said, "Let's go. You should go back and rest. Cedric will

probably regain consciousness later today."

Noelle left with Alfred. They ran into Laura on their way back.

Laura stared at Alfred in surprise and exclaimed, "Alfred, you're here! Who's your companion?"

When Noelle saw Laura, she was terrified. The blood drained from her cheeks. When one was down on their luck, misfortune was everywhere.

Alfred cleared his throat and stuttered, "S-she's a friend of mine."

Noelle glanced at the gorgeous woman before her. Their eyes met, but no one spoke. Something felt off.

After the elevator doors closed, Noelle asked, "Who's that?"

"She's a friend of mine."

Alfred was bewildered. He had left this situation for Cedric to resolve himself. Noelle didn't continue asking about Laura. However, she sounded familiar, as though Noelle had heard her somewhere. Yet, she couldn't place her finger on where.

Noelle returned to her room to rest. A message came through from Grace. She asked, "Why didn't you come to the test today?"

She only recalled it after Grace's reminder. Noelle had missed it.

Noelle replied, "I fell sick and got hospitalized, so I couldn't go back and take part in the test."

Initially, Noelle had thought that she'd be able to reveal Xenia's true colors. She hadn't expected so many twists!

However, she still had time. Once Noelle was discharged, there would be countless chances for Noelle to exact her revenge on Xenia!

After a moment of thought, Noelle asked, "Is Laura going to be punished this time?"

"I think so. After all, there have been so many photos and videos of her bullying others circulating online. Right, this isn't your doing, is it?"

"Yes. I don't think that the Merlocks will be able to obscure justice."

Noelle didn't deny it. After all, considering who Cedric was, Alfred definitely found out about her.

"Noelle, I hadn't expected you to be so capable. I thought you were an expert in artificial intelligence. Who knew you'd turn around to be an all around ace?"

Noelle replied shyly, "You guys taught me most of what I know. Back then, I was the youngest and only you guys were willing to teach me."noveldrama

She hadn't expected C to be Cedric.

Alfred was wistful. He hadn't thought they'd known each other for such a long time. Fate was a tricky thing.

He thought for a moment before saying, "You've got to be careful with the Merlocks. Laura will definitely be punished."

Cedric gave the order himself. The Merlocks wouldn't be able to change their fate no matter what they did.

"I know."
