No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

In the past, Lucas would've immediately gone to question Noelle the second he found out about this! Why had he changed as well?

Xenia sobbed and complained, "But I nearly died."

"Xenia, I know you've always been mature and thoughtful. Although Xenia left him, we're still a family at the end of the day. Don't hold a grudge against her."

After a pause, Lucas continued, "In addition, there's no evidence to say that Noelle did all this to you, right?"

Noelle was so angry she couldn't even cry. Hadn't he said this to Noelle in the past? Xenia never thought he would say this to her!

Xenia was stuck. If she continued asking for revenge, the facade she'd built for herself would crumble.

In the end, she could only swallow her complaints. Xenia didn't dare to say she wanted to sue Noelle! However, she wouldn't let this go.

When Noelle got back to her dorms, all her roommates were present.

Upon seeing the bandage on her head, Grace asked, "Were you hurt?"

"Yeah, but I'm fine now."

Noelle sat down. Jessica remarked, "Noelle, you didn't take a medical leave by pretending to be sick because you were scared you'd lose, right?"

"To be honest, no one in the society can beat me."

"You're such a braggart. You didn't even have the balls to come to the test. Yet, you're still trying to insist on how amazing you are!"

Noelle didn't explain herself. There was no point in reasoning with a fool.

Jessica bragged, "This time, they even hired famous people. Many livestreamers from Firestorm will be present tonight. It's a pity you don't have a chance anymore. Only team members are allowed to participate in the event."

She then strutted away in her little dress and heels.

After Jessica left, Grace said, "You're amazing. You can join other teams, or even join the national tema."

"I know, thank you for saying that."

Whether or not Noelle joined the team didn't matter to her. It wasn't a matter she was considering presently.

As she was about to shower, she received a call from the manager of Firestorm. "Ms. Liddell, I called and texted you multiple times yesterday. Why didn't you reply?"

"I was in an accident yesterday and didn't receive your calls. I've just been discharged and returned to my dorms."

"That explains it. I remember that you're from Yole University. Tonight, there'll be a livestreamers event at the team building in Yasnia. Why don't you come along? I've sent the invitation to your phone."

Noelle agreed after a moment of thought.

There was no harm in joining in on the fun. It would stop certain people from bitching at her.

After hanging up, Grace asked, "Do you have any livestreamer you like? I can ask for their autographs."

"There's no need for that, but thanks."

Noelle changed into a white shirt and jeans after her shower. She found that she

had many missed calls from an unknown number. Another call came in from that number.noveldrama

"You're Noelle, right?"

Noelle said coldly, "That's me. And you are?"

"I'm Harvey Solaris, the lawyer representing the Merlocks. I would like to speak to

you in person regarding your confrontation with my client, Samantha."

"There's nothing to talk about. I hope she atones for her sins and becomes a better person!"

Harvey was enraged. "Noelle, you're quite brave. Aren't you scared you'll inconvenience the Liddells?"

She smirked. Inconvenience the Liddells? What a treat!
