No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Jessica was dumbfounded. "What do you mean? There's no way Noelle has an invitation!"

Samuel frowned and added, "Indeed. I'm sure she's not part of our team and therefore doesn't have the right to access the event, let alone receive an invitation."

"Right, everyone who received the invitation today were famous livestreamers. How could Noelle compare?"

Samuel came to a realization. "Noelle's invitation is fake. She's a master of technology. Faking an invitation is nothing to her!"

The guards were conflicted. After all, Samuel was the captain of the team. His words warranted belief.

Noelle glanced at them and said, "I really don't want to burst your bubble, but you two are really behaving like uncivilised monkeys!"

"Noelle, you must be terrified right now. How could you have received an invitation? You're not famous on the internet!"

"Why not?"

Samuel mocked her, "If you're an influencer, I'll eat shit right now!"

Noelle giggled and said, "You were the one who promised that."

Michael walked over and said, "Ms. Liddell, we've been waiting for you for a while. Why are you still standing by the door?"

Noelle said, "Someone doubts my identity. They said that my invitation is fake."

Michael turned to Samuel and said unkindly, "Is there something wrong with your head? Who would fake a stupid little invitation like this? Internet personalities all know each other!"

"Mr. Malark, I'm saying this to be thoughtful for the event's integrity. Noelle isn't part of our team, and there's no way she's an internet celebrity! We can't allow her to sneak in."

Samuel knew Michael. His every word was laced with praise. Joining Team Celestial was his dream, but he hadn't gotten the chance.

Michael roared, "Who said she isn't an influencer?"noveldrama

Samuel was taken aback. "How could that be possible?"

Yet, if this came from Michael, did this mean that Noelle really was a famous influencer? It didn't make sense. Wasn't she from an underprivileged family? Michael didn't take any liberties. He scolded, "Samuel, with that brain of yours, you wouldn't even be able to get a share of a piece of shit in this industry!"

He was insulted terribly, but Samuel didn't dare to clap back in fear of leaving Micahel with a bad impression.

Jessica stood up for him. "What kind of influencer is Noelle?"

"Shut it. Mr. Michael has proved Noelle's identity. This is not a situation where you should speak out of turn." She wasn't reading the room. Was Michael someone she could offend?

Jessica had never been yelled at like that. Tears welled up as she said, "I was standing up for you!"

Michael turned to Noelle and said, "Let's go. Some people nowadays are blind." Noelle eyed Samuel and said, "Didn't you say that you would eat shit if I really turned out to be an influencer? It's your chance now!

His face fell. He hadn't expected her to hold him to it.

Jessica said, "Noelle, don't be so extreme. Samuel was just kidding."

"I'm extreme? The two of you were all up in my face calling the guards over to chase me out. Wasn't that extreme? You lot are so hypocritical. You can treat others like that but others can't do the same to you!"

Noelle's words cut deep. They were speechless.

Jessica soldiered on. "Asking him to eat shit is a little much."

"Why don't you do it for him? It's all the same to me!"
